District Trails, Parks, & Ponds

The Goodnight Loop Trailway extends around the entire Goodnight community. Once complete, the Goodnight Loop Trailway will be three miles long. The northside trail is currently one mile with connections to other trails.

Alderman park is a small open space with a wildflower meadow, and picnic tables

Whitter Pond Park features an amphitheater style open space overlooking a wet pond, water fountains, picnic tables, benches, and dog station receptacles.

Vertex Pond Park includes a boardwalk, lounge chairs, seating area overlooking a wet pond, and dog station receptacles.

Remuda Pond Park is currently under development on the southside of the District and set to open soon. The park will feature a large ADA accessible playground, two pickleball courts, picnic tables, shade structures, restrooms and water fountain, a trailway overlooking a wet pond, and dog station receptacles.

The Charles Merle Park features an ADA accessible playground with two single swings, a disc net swing, and balance beams. The park also has dog station receptacles.

Rotunda Pocket Park is under construction.  No concept pictures to provide at this time.  See the attached construction picture below.

The Vertex Pedestrian Underpass connects the northside to the southside. The lighted ADA accessible trailway leads to a lighted underpass under Slaughter Lane.  Residents are urged to use caution, as the Pedestrian Underpass is subject to flooding and should not be used during rainfall.
