Streetscape Tree Sucker Growth Removal & Removal of Low Lying Limbs Over Sidewalks

Urban Dirt, the District's landscape contractor, will be removing sucker growth from streetscape trees starting September 17th, weather permitting. Sucker growth generally sprouts from the base of the tree or on the lower trunk of the tree. This growth needs to be removed periodically to assist with the overall health of the tree. Urban Dirt will also identify and remove low lying limbs over sidewalks that present a safety concern. Turf Application

Urban Dirt will be applying pre-emergent to all parkland turf starting September 19th and 20th, weather permitting. The application is harmless to humans and pets but does take approximately 15 minutes to dry.
