Urban Dirt, the District's landscape contractor, will provide spring mulch service starting later this week (4/17-4/18) and continuing into the following week (4/21-4/25).  Mulch service will consist of either turning the existing mulch or adding mulch in all established park and streetscape tree rings.  Turning the mulch allows us to break up compacted mulch and remove mulch off the base of trees, if needed.  In instances where mulch is warranted, Urban Dirt will add mulch as needed.  All newly planted streetscape trees and District park planting beds will receive fresh mulch.
